Kabrita Junior is not suitable for children with a confirmed cow milk protein allergy as goat milk protein may also provoke an allergic reaction. Kabrita Junior may be an option for children with a cow milk sensitivity.

Kabrita Junior uses lactose as the primary carbohydrate, with no added refined sugars such as maltodextrin or sucrose.

No, Kabrita Junior does not contain artificial colors, flavors or preservatives

Kabrita Junior is a great alternative for cow or plant-based milks. Just add water for a delicious glass of milk, blend it into your child's favorite smoothie or incorporate into your baked goods recipes whenever milk is called for.

One can of Junior Nutrition can make 15 servings of 8 oz per serving.

We are not currently certified USDA organic. However, our formula is produced in Europe, where strict regulations limit the use of GMOs, antibiotics, hormones, and pesticides, and where animal welfare is prioritized.

Kabrita Junior is not suitable for infants. It should not be used as a substitute for infant formula or as a sole source of nutrition.

Kabrita Junior is a fortified milk drink composed to nutritionally support children aged 2-7 years old (as part of a balanced and varied diet). The A2 protein and pre- and probiotics may support a healthy gut and vitamin C, D and E contribute to the normal immune system function. Conventional cow’s milk is composed of a mixture of A1 and A2 milk, while goat milk naturally contains A2 milk with A1 milk being absent. This might seem as a small difference, but this is actually one of the many reasons why goat milk is naturally easier to digest and gentle on a child’s tummy.

Our Toddler Nutrition drink has been carefully fortified with essential nutrients that many toddlers in the US, aged 1-2 years, are not getting enough of, including Vitamin D and DHA. On the other hand, Junior Nutrition is created with nutrient levels that are tailored to children aged 2 years and up.

The recommended serving size is two glasses per day of max. 240ml. You can find preparation and mixing instructions on the back of the tin.

A small amount of carbohydrates are added to Kabrita Junior to ensure a smooth, lump-free texture kids love results when the powder is mixed with water. Goat milk naturally contains lactose, and Kabrita Junior uses lactose as a primary carbohydrate with no added refined sugars such as maltodextrin or sucrose.

Yes, we add prebiotics called GOS (galacto-oligosaccharides) to our Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula. GOS can improve stool consistency, support good bacteria in the gut, and inhibit the growth of pathogens.

We are not currently certified USDA organic. However, our formula is produced in Europe, where strict regulations limit the use of GMOs, antibiotics, hormones, and pesticides, and where animal welfare is prioritized.

Our goats live on over 100 family-run farms in the Netherlands. Their diet consists mainly of non-GMO grass and other non-GMO feed sources, including straw, alfalfa, and corn.

All our feed is VLOG certified, which ensures it is non-GMO.

Our goat milk comes from the Saanen breed, known for its mild, sweet milk.

The DHA source used in Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is Crypthecodinium Cohnii Oil, also known as DHA algae oil. Algae DHA is the most widely used source of DHA in baby formula. It is a safe, vegetarian source of DHA and has a similar bioavailability compared to fish DHA. We do not use DHA from eggs or fish. Both of these sources are considered major allergens and would not be suitable for infants with egg or fish allergies, and can alter the taste of a product.

Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula has a whey to casein ratio of 60:40, and breast milk has a whey to casein ratio of 60:40. Goat whey protein concentrate is added to Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula to adapt the ratio of whey to casein, in order to more closely match that found in breast milk.

The sugar in Kabrita’s infant formula comes from lactose, a milk sugar naturally occurring in all milks (including breast milk).

We always use a mixture of different oils to achieve the desired fatty acid profile to be similar to the fatty acid profile in breast milk. Our non-GMO soybean oil contributes critical fat and specific fatty acids to Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula’s premium fat blend. Since there is no soy-protein left in the oil, there is no need to be concerned about possible allergic reactions.

For more information you can read our blog posts on our fat blend. https://kabrita.com/blogs/nourish-blog/

Yes, every batch of formula is tested for heavy metals. All our products are tested by certified ISO (International Organization for Standardization) third-party laboratories. We adhere to all US regulatory requirements, as well as European manufacturing & safety standards. Additionally, we have our own internal Kabrita safety standards, which are often stricter than the EU standards.

We are proud to be the first infant formula company to proactively make heavy metal testing data publicly available. Simply enter the lot code found on the can to trace your Kabrita formula: https://kabrita.com/pages/safety

Kabrita is the first goat milk-based formula to achieve Clean Label Project's three strict certifications: Purity Award, Pesticide-Free Certification, and First 1,000 Day Promise Certification.

Yes, Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is the first European-made and only goat milk-based infant formula to meet all FDA infant formula requirements. The changes for this updated formula were reviewed by the FDA and our medical advisory board.

Our infant formula is for little ones ages 0 to 12 months. We also offer Toddler Nutrition and Junior Nutrition for the natural next step in your feeding journey

Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is the first European goat milk-based infant formula to meet all FDA infant formula requirements. A published clinical study has proven it to be safe for use in babies and supports their healthy growth. Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is currently the only goat milk-based infant formula in the US that contains a premium ingredient called beta-palmitate (on the ingredient label as high 2-palmitic acid). Beta-palmitate is a type of fat abundantly found in breast milk and has been shown to support better nutrient absorption, improved stool consistency, and is associated with less crying, improved sleep, and improved bone strength.

Only Kabrita is made with high-quality, grass-fed goat milk from the Netherlands, the dairy center of the world. It is manufactured in FDA-registered facilities by our parent company, Ausnutria, a Dutch company with more than 75 years of infant formula experience.

Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is available online at Kabrita.com, Amazon.com, Thrivemarket.com, and Walmart.com.

It is also available on shelves at retailers including Walmart, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Meijer, Wegmans, Natural Grocers, Hannaford, Fresh Thyme, and more, with the list growing. Use our Store Locator to find Kabrita near you: https://kabrita.com/pages/store-locator

Kabrita is manufactured in FDA-registered facilities in the Netherlands, with production locations in Ommen, Kampen, Leeuwarden, and Heerenveen.

Goat milk alone does not contain all the nutrients essential for an infant's growth and development. While goat milk is an excellent base for formula, we add critical nutrients and adjust the protein and fat content to be more similar to breast milk. Goat milk alone is not sufficient for infants!

Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is a complete source of infant nutrition formulated with the correct levels of carbohydrates, fat, protein, vitamins, and minerals for healthy babies. In 2023, the FDA and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) both updated their guidelines to include goat milk as an acceptable base for infant formula. Goat milk alone is not suitable for infants because it doesn’t contain all the nutrients babies need.

Yes! Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula has gone through the complete FDA review process. As part of this process, we presented the FDA with results from our clinical trial, proving that the product is safe and supports healthy growth. In June of 2023, the FDA officially gave us the green light to sell our product. Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is the first European and only goat milk-based infant formula brand to meet all FDA infant formula requirements.

We chose goat milk as the base for our formula because it’s naturally closer in composition to breast milk than cow milk. Goat milk proteins are easier to digest than cow milk, making goat milk a more comfortable option for babies. Goat milk also naturally contains 5x more prebiotics and nucleotides than cow milk, which support the immune system, gut health, and sleep regulation.

1 in 2 infants experience sensitivities related to cow milk formula. Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is naturally gentle and contains ingredients that can ease symptoms related to cow milk, such as constipation, gas, reflux, and eczema. Please note that Kabrita Goat Milk Infant Formula is not suitable for babies with a confirmed cow milk protein allergy.

Whether you are introducing formula to an exclusively breastfed baby or changing from one formula to another, you may notice a change in your baby's stool frequency, colour, and consistency, and that's okay! No worries. There is no need to gradually add it to your baby's diet over a period of days or in increasing amounts, especially if you are trying a new formula because your baby was having trouble tolerating the previous formula. Always consult with your baby's healthcare provider to review your little one’s unique needs and the available feeding options. We hope this helps!

Kabrita formula is mild, slightly sweet, and baby-approved. We have worked with professional taste testers to ensure our formulas taste and smell great! We have received many positive reviews from parents with little ones who love the flavor.

Yes, every batch of Kabrita Infant Formula is tested for heavy metals at our production facility. We also test for over 700+ heavy metals, pesticides, plasticizers, and other environmental toxins as part of our Clean Label certifications. Learn more about how we test for heavy metals and trace your can of formula here.

Kabrita products contain lactose, a milk sugar naturally occurring in all milks (including breast milk). Lactose intolerance in infants and young children is extremely rare.

No, goat milk-based products are not recommended for children with a confirmed diagnosis of cow milk protein allergy (CMPA). There may be a risk of cross-reactivity associated with goat milk protein for children with CMPA.

Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is naturally easy to digest and may ease symptoms related to cow milk consumption such as constipation, gas, reflux, and eczema. Kabrita Goat Milk Infant Formula is not appropriate for infants with a confirmed cow milk protein allergy. There are many reasons why your little one may experience these symptoms. Each baby is unique, so we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider to explore causes and solutions.

Yes, our cans are BPA free.

The cans are made of a thin layer of steel (not aluminium). On both the inside and the outside of the steel layer, there is a layer of tin. The tin protects the steel from corrosion and also protects the product.

Yes! Kabrita’s cans are made from aluminum. Even though Kabrita cans have a painted or coated surface, recycling facilities are equipped to process these materials safely and effectively.
Simply rinse out the empty can to remove any formula residue and place it in your curbside recycling bin.

Note that recycling programs can vary, so if you’re unsure, check with your local waste management provider to confirm aluminum cans are accepted.

No, you should not freeze Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula. Freezing can introduce moisture to the powder. Always store powdered formula in a cool, dry place and keep the container tightly sealed—never in the refrigerator or freezer.

No, you should not use expired formula. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) emphasizes that feeding your infant expired formula increases the chance of illness, including vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration. Always check the expiration date on the formula container and discard any formula that has expired to ensure your baby’s safety and proper nutrition.

Formula should be used within 30 days of opening. After 30 days, we cannot guarantee the nutrient quality and safety of the product. Once a can of powdered infant formula is opened, it should be stored in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed.

Please be aware that storing it in a freezer or refrigerator is never recommended.

You can rest assured that cans are filled by weight vs. volume. The contents tend to settle during shipping and warehousing and often this can give the appearance of a reduced fill.
During packaging, air is introduced to the can to ensure product shelf stability.

The air in the head space at the top of the can decreases which makes the product less fluffy and it seems like there is less product in the can.
Our 28oz can is made to be able to hold up to 32oz which can add to the impression that the can has a lower fill.

Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula has a mild, pleasant, and slightly sweet aroma that many parents find more appealing than mainstream cow milk-based formulas. Unlike some formulas that can have strong or unpleasant odors, Kabrita is often described as having a fresh scent and does not smell like goat milk.

If you ever notice a significant change in odor, or if the formula smells sour, rancid, or otherwise “off,” do not use it, as this could indicate spoilage. Always check the expiration date and follow storage instructions to ensure freshness and safety.

Goat Milk-Based Toddler Nutrition drink is not suitable for children with a confirmed cow milk protein allergy (CMPA), as goat milk protein may provoke an allergic reaction.

Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Toddler Nutrition drink is not suitable for infants and is not intended to be a sole source of nutrition.

If you are looking for a gentle infant formula, check out our intro offer for 2 cans of Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula here: https://kabrita.com/products/infant-formula-intro-offer

2. Using the enclosed scoop, follow the instructions on the label to add the correct amount of Toddler Nutrition powder.
3. Swirl until the powder is dissolved.
4. Test the temperature on the inside of your wrist.
5. Use immediately, or cover and refrigerate.

Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Toddler Nutrition drink is specially designed to meet the needs of growing toddlers in the US. It’s enriched with important nutrients like vitamin D, DHA, and probiotics to support healthy brain, bone, and immune development. Plain goat milk, while naturally gentle, doesn’t have these added nutrients.

We use premium, whole-fat European goat milk that is naturally gentle and easy to digest. It contains nutrients that US toddlers typically aren’t getting enough of, without the bad stuff like GMOs, antibiotics, or pesticides. Kabrita Toddler Nutrition drink also supports a healthy gut, immunity, and brain development.

We chose goat milk as the base for our Toddler Nutrition drink because the proteins in goat milk are naturally easier to digest than cow milk, making Kabrita a comfortable option for little ones. Goat milk also naturally contains 5x more prebiotics and nucleotides than cow milk, which support the immune system and gut health.

Our Toddler Nutrition drink is mild, slightly sweet, and kiddo-approved. We have worked with professional taste testers to ensure our drink tastes and smells great! Little ones love the taste!

Yes, every batch of Toddler Nutrition is tested for heavy metals. See our safety page for more information.

Kabrita Toddler Nutrition contains no corn syrup, GMOs, antibiotics, growth hormones, or pesticide residues.

Bubbles naturally form when powder is dissolved in water. The bubbles have no impact on the nutritional quality of the product. To help prevent too many bubbles from forming, try gently swirling the bottle to dissolve the powder, rather than shaking it. Adding the powder to warm water will also form fewer bubbles. You may also let the prepared formula stand for a couple of minutes while the bubbles dissipate.

After preparing the formula as directed, you can combine the prepared formula with breast milk. We recommend you consult your baby's healthcare provider to discuss their unique needs and available feeding options.

If the prepared formula hasn’t been used, it can be stored for up to 24 hours and reheated by placing it in a bottle warmer or a container of warm water for no more than 15 minutes. Formula that is partially consumed can be refrigerated for up to one hour and can be reheated once. We do not recommend reheating it more than once.

Please do not use the microwave to reheat formula, and always check the temperature before feeding it to your child.

FDA guidance for using powdered infant formula is to boil water, let it cool for 5 minutes, then pour the amount stated on the label into the bottle. Add the powdered formula, swirl to mix, and allow the formula to cool to room temperature before feeding your infant. Always use water from a safe source to mix your infant formula. If you are unsure whether your tap water is safe for preparing infant formula, contact your local health department.

We can assure you that Kabrita goat milk is great tasting, mild, slightly sweet and kid approved. We have received lots of positive reviews in terms of little ones loving the flavor. The fast production process of the fresh goat milk creates a gentle and mild taste.

Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is one of the only formulas with a ratio of one scoop of powder to one ounce of water, making it easy to prepare an odd number of ounces. Prepare Kabrita as directed on the back of the tin.

Start by sanitizing your pitcher, and fill it with the appropriate amount of clean water. Measure the corresponding formula powder for the day's feedings, and add it to the pitcher of water. Gently mix the formula and pour it into the feeding bottles as needed. You can mix a full day's worth of formula and store it in the refrigerator for later use. You can use pre-made formula for up to 24 hours.

Use prepared infant formula within 1 hour of starting the feeding and within 2 hours of preparation if left at room temperature.

If you will not use the prepared infant formula within 2 hours, store the bottle in the refrigerator immediately and use it within 24 hours.

Throw out any infant formula that’s left in the bottle after feeding your baby.
Do not refrigerate it to save for later. The combination of infant formula and your baby’s saliva can cause bacteria to grow.

Yes! Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is a safe and nutritionally complete alternative to homemade goat milk formula recipes. Unlike homemade formulas, which can lack essential nutrients and pose serious health risks, Kabrita is carefully fortified with key vitamins and minerals, including folic acid, iron, vitamin D, and DHA & ARA, to meet infants’ needs and support healthy growth. Leading health authorities, including the FDA and the American Academy of Pediatrics, strongly advise against homemade infant formulas due to the risk of nutritional deficiencies and safety concerns

Our scoops are quite small, smaller than other formula brands that you may have seen.
You can be assured that it is very rare that our formula should come missing a scoop.

Occasionally the scoop will settle in the powder. Try tilting the tin and tapping gently against the side to displace the powder. This should help you locate the scoop.
You can also try taking a very clean spoon with a long handle and try to reach to the bottom of the formula to dislodge the scoop.

If you are still not able to find it, we do not recommend to use a household measure if you are missing your scoop, since this creates too much inconsistency in the preparation of the formula.
A gram scale can be used to accurately measure the correct amount if needed.
